Welcome to the
POP YOUTH PORTAL!
Power over pain is possible.
The Power Over Pain Portal provides you with access to a range of free resources, courses, and peer support. You are not alone on your journey to cope with pain – there is hope.
About POP
We know that chronic pain can get in the way of your sleep, physical activity, school participation, spending time with friends, and other important parts of your life. Living with pain can also lead to feelings of anxiety, stress, and low mood.
POP Portal was co-designed by Canadian youth living with chronic pain during the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is available in both English and French and is meant to empower youth to learn new skills to manage their chronic pain and lessen its impact on their lives.
How can I experience the POP Portal?
-
To access the POP portal, you can create a standard account – this will allow you to build a profile, access publicly available resources in both English and French, and track your progress through a self-assessment feature.
-
You may also be eligible to join a POP research study. Joining a study will expand your standard account to give you access to an extended suite of resources, including some that are exclusive to research participants. Your expanded account will also include email and SMS text reminders for the self-assessment progress feature. Research study participants will be eligible to receive gift-cards for completing online questionnaires and have the opportunity to provide feedback on the portal through a short interview.
-
If you would not like to create a standard account or participate in our research study, you can still access a list of the resources used in the portal with no account.
